Very successful ICCX Eurasia 2023 launch in Almaty, Kazakhstan

The lecture programme offered visitors five highly interesting presentations from the autoclaved aerated concrete industry. These included two companies, Ecoton from Kazakhstan, represented by its Managing Director Baurzhan Baimukhanov, and BS Gazobeton from Uzbekistan, represented by its Managing Director Sherzod Vafoev, who showcased their recently built production facilities and provided insights into modern systems engineering. The President of the Kazakh Aerated Concrete Association, Sukurov Nurbolat, inspired the audience with current developments in the local autoclaved aerated concrete industry. Arman Hasen Akylbekuly, Director of the Centre of Norming in Construction of Astana, highlighted in his presentation the economic aspects of increased energy efficiency in constructing residential buildings with autoclaved aerated concrete. Another presentation by Lizheng Liu, co-founder of tech start-up Zeorobot from China, clearly demonstrated that autoclaved aerated concrete panels can be handled and installed almost fully automatically on construction sites using robot solutions that are already available.

The tradeshow at ICCX Eurasia, the largest of its kind in the Eurasian concrete sector, featured around 80 companies from the fields of concrete and precast concrete technology as well as autoclaved aerated concrete. Exhibitors and visitors were able to engage in in-depth technical discussions about the latest developments in mechanical and systems engineering, concrete chemistry, IT and other sectors. Expectations were met and the effectiveness of the business meetings was noticeable.

In summary, ICCX Eurasia 2023 provided a perfect platform for exchanging knowledge, networking and gaining insight into the future of the entire concrete industry. The success of this first event in the region underscores the relevance and international interest in innovation in the concrete industry.
