ICCX Eurasia 2025 sets important impulses for the region
Loading...For the third consecutive time, numerous exhibiting companies from the concrete industry took part in ICCX Eurasia to present their solutions and innovations to a professional audience. The expectations of exhibitors and visitors were closely aligned: the technical exchange was intensive, practice-oriented, and highly focused. Both sides understand each other’s requirements and objectives, providing an ideal basis for efficient and successful discussions.

The trade visitors - predominantly representatives of concrete and AAC plants from Kazakhstan, as well as from Uzbekistan and other Russian-speaking countries, complemented by planners, engineers, and researchers from across the region - were keen not to miss this unique opportunity for networking and professional exchange. A few statements from visitors are included in this event review.
Lutai Anastasiya, East Kazakhstan Technical University, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhstan

I am a representative of the Daulet Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University, the best educational institution in eastern Kazakhstan. We came here to work on a mega-grant with another university. As part of a joint project, we are working on autoclaved aerated concrete. We needed to purchase equipment and implement new formulas. Now we are in the final stage of our project, and we came to the conference to see what new technologies we can use for further research and development of Kazakh science, to find new contacts and ideas for the development of our region. We are really satisfied, we liked everything – the place and the level of the organization are both extraordinary. I wish you success and prosperity, so that everything continues to go well for you.
High-ranking representatives from the business community also attended ICCX Eurasia and showed great interest, including the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Almaty, Matthias Kiesler, as well as Eduard Kinsbruner, Delegate of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Central Asia (AHK).

Ashish Yadav, Buildcast Solution Private Limited, India

I enjoyed the event a lot and learned really a lot of things from the presentations. I also had an opportunity to talk with a few speakers after the session and share the information about the development of the concrete and AAC sector in India and about the projects, in which we could implement international experience. Nowadays we of course use precast concrete in India, but our methods are quite old, and I’m glad that during the conference I learnt a lot of new things to improve the situation.
Conference session on autoclaved aerated concrete
A dedicated session was devoted to autoclaved aerated concrete, as this material is gaining increasing importance in Kazakhstan for modern and cost-efficient construction. In addition to local experts, specialists from Turkey, China, Switzerland, and Serbia presented their contributions, supported by the Kazakh Association of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Manufacturers. The conference program provided a comprehensive overview of current developments in the Kazakh autoclaved aerated concrete industry, international references, and future perspectives on a global level.
The session was moderated by Vyacheslav Lazarev, Executive Director of the Kazakhstan Association of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Manufacturers (QazAACA) and CEO of VAO Group. In his role as moderator and industry representative, he opened the conference by placing Kazakhstan’s construction industry in a regional context. In his presentation, he highlighted the development of the concrete and AAC markets in Kazakhstan and outlined opportunities for international partnerships.

Irina Ilina, Akkermann Cement, Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Our company specializes in the cement sector. We are quite innovative and have experience working throughout Eurasia. We don't just sell cement, we sell solutions. This is our first time at your event. I really liked that there were many foreign speakers here. This is not often seen at similar events held in Eurasia region now. European experience is, after all, the experience that is worth learning from. It is very important for us to introduce European experience into the Uzbek and Kazakh concrete sector, which continues to develop dynamically. Without a doubt, this is a high bar to strive for. It is great that all sectors of concrete construction are represented at the event. It is very important that people have the opportunity to communicate with each other, grow professionally, and explore new horizons.
This was followed by Stephen Shen, President of the China Aerated Concrete Association (CACA), who spoke about the large-scale application of AAC products in cost-efficient mass housing. He shared insights from Chinese experience and demonstrated how AAC could contribute to meeting housing demand while maintaining high economic efficiency.
With a special focus on earthquake safety, Tolga Öztoprak, civil engineer and MBA, presented the application of AAC in seismic regions. Based on more than six decades of experience in Türkiye, he explained the advantages that AAC building materials offer in earthquake-prone areas like Kazakhstan.
Jürgen Oecknick, Managing Director of PSA Zurich Area GmbH, addressed the path from manufacturing to the successful marketing of AAC. In his presentation, he highlighted two key moments that are of central importance for the sustainable success of AAC production.
Makhambetov Kaisarbek Kuralbekovich, Director of Sauran Bricks LLP, presented modern AAC production technologies in use at Sauran Bricks and demonstrated how the Kazakh building materials industry can technologically prepare itself for the challenges of tomorrow’s construction sector.
The program was rounded off by Andrey Bashkatov, Global Exports & License Business at Xella Baustoffe GmbH. In his presentation, “Global AAC Market: Vision from the Xella License Perspective,” he described global developments from the viewpoint of the internationally active building materials producer Xella.
The conference program brought together international expertise, practical experience, and strategic perspectives across the entire AAC value chain.

Networking in an inspiring atmosphere
The new venue, the Royal Tulip Hotel Almaty, proved to be an excellent choice. In addition to the presentations and the technical exhibition, ICCX Eurasia 2025 offered numerous opportunities for networking, ranging from spontaneous discussions during session breaks to scheduled meetings with industry representatives. Many participants praised both the consistently professional organisation of the event and the outstanding platform it provided for exchange between academia, industry, and planners.
A strong signal for the future of the concrete industry
ICCX Eurasia 2025 highlighted the critical role of professional dialogue and knowledge exchange in advancing the concrete industry. Beyond presenting innovative technologies, the event created valuable opportunities to strengthen existing networks and foster new collaborations. With its strong emphasis on sustainability and technological progress, ICCX Eurasia once again confirmed its relevance and impact across the sector. Expectations for the next edition are therefore high, and preparations are already in progress. One point is evident: ICCX Eurasia has become a firmly established fixture in the concrete industry’s event calendar, and the organisers are committed to welcoming an even broader audience from Kazakhstan and neighbouring countries in the years ahead.
The next ICCX Eurasia will take place on 2 and 3 December 2026 at the Royal Tulip Hotel in Almaty. Make sure to mark the date in your calendar.
