Launch of ICCX Eurasia with participation of the AAC industry

Loading...

The metropolis of Almaty was deliberately chosen for the launch of ICCX Eurasia and the continuation of a traditional event in the Russian-speaking world, because the regional construction industry is experiencing constant growth. Kazakhstan is the largest landlocked country in the world in terms of area and one of the fastest growing economies in Central Asia. As a result, the construction industry has experienced a boom in recent years, with significant investment in infrastructure projects, including the construction of highways, bridges, airports, and residential and commercial buildings.

Current state and prospects for the development of AAC in Kazakhstan

The autoclaved aerated concrete industry in Kazakhstan holds promise as the country continues to develop and build. Currently, there are several large producers of AAC with production volumes of more than 225,000 m3 in Kazakhstan. Ecoton+, Ecoton Batys and Alliance MTS 300 supply AAC for the construction of residential and commercial buildings. These companies and other manufacturers are united in the Kazakhstan Association of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete Producers, which pursues the goal of developing a single policy and representing the interests of the industry.

At the same time, there are currently 25 enterprises with a minimum production volume of 30,000 m3. Additionally, since 2022, two large enterprises were put into operation with a planned production volume of 30,000 - 70,000 m3 in Almaty and Kostanai. The construction of enterprises with a smaller production volume of 30,000 to 60,000 m3 is underway in Taraz, Shymkent and Astana.

For the construction of walls, the market share of AAC in the building industry is more than 75% in the cities of Astana and Almaty. In the regional context, AAC is used as the wall material of choice in about 30% of all projects. The main consumers of AAC products are located in Akmola, Karaganda and Almaty, especially in the cities of Aktau and Atyrau.

Imports make up only about 10 - 15% of all AAC products used in the industry, the main proportion of which is imported from Russia and Iran. Overall, there is an increasing demand for imported products, especially in the regions bordering Russia due to lower prices and favorable logistics.

Population growth, rising living standards and the active development of cities have led to a significant growth in housing construction, the demand for which will only increase in the coming years. In addition, the Government of Kazakhstan is promoting the construction of environmentally friendly and energy efficient buildings as part of the Green Economy national program. In this regard, the demand for AAC is expected to grow, as the material meets all the requirements of environmental friendliness and energy efficiency.

As a consequence of the above-mentioned developments, the AAC industry in Kazakhstan has excellent future prospects, as AAC meets all the requirements for environmental friendliness, energy efficiency and durability. The technology further attracts governmental support based on the growing national demand for environmentally friendly materials.

Conference program with renowned experts from the industry

The conference program will offer a multifaceted range of practical solutions to the daily challenges of AAC production but will also shed light on scientific aspects and highlight current developments in research. The conference programme will soon be available online.

The Dutch plant manufacturer Aircrete Europe and the Chinese plant manufacturer Keda Suremaker committed themselves to this event at an early stage and came on board as sponsors.

The exhibition is already largely sold out, which can be interpreted as a clear message sent by the supplier industry. The tradition of a successful series of ICCX events in Russian-speaking countries continues, and we look forward to welcoming you in Almaty in December this year!  The AAC Worldwide team will of course be on site as co-organizers.

AAC is a valued and increasingly popular building material in Kazakhstan – a perfect location for the launch of ICCX Eurasia.

Save the date: December 6 & 7, 2023!
