To the next 100 years
This edition of AAC Worldwide is closely associated with the 7th ICAAC - International Conference on Autoclaved Aerated Concrete, which will take place from 6 to 8 September in Prague, Czech Republic. The ICAAC is one of the most important international conferences in our industry and is a (unfortunately far too) rare opportunity to network with researchers, AAC producers, industrial suppliers and trade associations. Stakeholders from the construction sector, such as architects, planners, civil engineers, contractors, builders and investors are also expected to make their appearance in Prague.
AAC Worldwide, as the official media partner of the 7th ICAAC, will of course be on site with an exhibition booth. We will also report live via our LinkedIn account and publish a detailed follow-up report in our October issue.
The motto of the 7th ICAAC is "Celebrating 100 Years of Autoclaved Aerated Concrete". 2023 is therefore a very special year for our industry, as we are looking back on a full century of global success! In keeping with the conference motto, you can also read an interesting article in this issue, starting on page 10.
In addition to retrospectives on the 100th anniversary, topics related to sustainability, construction technology, recarbonation, raw materials, seismic design, digitalization, production and process engineering, building physics and much more will be addressed and discussed in over 100 conference presentations.
