Brimax AAC – Progress on the Indian lighthouse project
Loading...Local Manufacturing Capabilities
Hess AAC Systems has started manufacturing AAC plant components, such as moulds, steel structures, cooking frames, water tanks, bogeys and gantries directly in India with Topwerk India. This move aims to localize production and simplify operations, resulting in the reduction of logistical hurdles. It also supports the local economy and allows Brimax to access customized solutions that meet the strict quality standards required in their operations. The key components of the machines are coming from Europe.
Quality Assurance and Commissioning
To guarantee a successful installation and assembly of the new AAC production plant, Hess AAC Systems has deployed a dedicated quality assurance team along with a specialized commissioning team with supervision in India. This team is responsible for overseeing the entire commissioning process, from the initial stages to the final assembly of the AAC plant. Their primary objective is to ensure all plant components meet the highest possible standards. This precision guarantees that the assembled AAC plant will produce the highest quality blocks with tight dimensional tolerances and minimal reject rates. The AAC plant is designed to have an initial capacity of 680 m3/day, with the possibility of expansion up to 900 m3/day with reinforcement for panel production. The plant is based on the proven Hess AAC Systems Keen-Crete®-KBT technology with Tilting-/Back-tilting system. With this efficient, reliable, and sustainable production method, it is possible to produce the highest quality AAC products with a minimal reject rate of 0.5%.
Implications for the Indian Market
Hess AAC Systems’ decision to establish advanced local manufacturing capabilities in India is well-timed, given the substantial growth opportunities in the Indian AAC market. The demand for AAC blocks and panels is expected to rise due to their superior properties, such as durability, lightweight, and thermal efficiency, which are becoming increasingly popular compared to conventional building materials, such as red bricks.
Conclusion
By providing this new AAC plant, Hess AAC Systems supports Brimax’s expansion into the AAC market while strengthening its own position in India. Hess AAC’s global expertise in AAC technology, combined with Topwerk India’s local production knowledge, ensures the commissioning and installation of an AAC plant that meets the highest standards. This new plant will enable Brimax to establish new benchmarks in the construction material industry and drive further growth in sustainable building practices across India.
