Puerta del Norte
Loading...To fulfill the specific requirements of this project, Hebel AAC-4/500, 150 mm thick wall panels were selected to function as 15 m high façade over the steel skeleton of the main building. This AAC strength class combines the thermal properties (λ=0.1005 W/mK) needed in the always changing climate conditions of the city of Monterrey, Mexico, with structural strength to sustain wind loads of up to 100 kg/m2 (wind speed of 145 km/hr). In addition, the weight of AAC contributed to a maximize installation efficiency of up to 105 m2/day of AAC panels were installed, which resulted in great economic advantages for the developer. Finally, but not less important, the UL fire resistance certification of the Hebel panels provide assurance to the end user that their goods will be safe in the years to come.
Jaime Alvarez, construction manager declared:
"In my experience, having worked with other products before and now using Hebel, the big difference is in the ease of working with a light, clean, and safe product."
Thanks to Hebel AAC properties Puerta del Norte supplements its logistical advantages by offering a LEED compliant Industrial & Manufacturing warehouse space within the park to accommodate the installation of these facilities.
"The occupants of Puerta del Norte warehouses will benefit from the thermal insulating properties compared to the temperatures outside. Hebel AAC products also gives us points for LEED rating and will resist fire for 4 hours.” states Alvarez.
Puerta del Norte has industrial buildings and build-to-suit sites, all within a fully developed industrial complex built with Hebel AAC products. All the avant-garde industrial and logistic buildings will provide users a comfortable environment while saving on utility costs, thanks to Hebel’s excellent thermal insulation and high energy efficiency. Safety is also an important aspect, and Hebel Wall Panels offer the UL certification for maximum fire resistance.
Jaime Alvarez adds, “The main reason for choosing Hebel for the construction of our industrial warehouses in Puerta del Norte Industrial Park was to give the park a personal seal with a standard line of an innovative material, that comes out of the common materials that exist in the environment for the construction of industrial warehouses.”
Hebel offered Puerta del Norte the most efficient solution in construction systems, with more than 80 years of proven successes in the international construction industry.
